Testimonials from our Families
Justin, Benny, Felix and I have been delighted to have Rosie join us. She is so organised and gets to things before I have even seen they need to be done. She is one of those amazing people who can open the fridge (when I think there is nothing there) and create and amazing healthy meal in short order. She definitely has her hands full with Felix and Benny, and her calm, thoughtful style is really going to help the boys develop a sense of responsibility and hopefully learn to follow all my instructions the first time. We love to heat her chatting with Benny and we can already see that her focus on language is helping Ben develop his vocabulary, which has reduced his frustrations at not always being able to communicate what he wants. He is totally happy when we leave in the morning as he always has a lovely day to look forward to with Rosie. We would love to nominate Rosie as nanny of the month for making such a positive impact on our whole family in such a short space in time. Thanks, Vicky.
"We always feel confident that he is in the hands of a focused but supportive professional "
We were so thrilled that Jo has been nominated as nanny of the month. Jo is amazing and we don’t know what we would do without her, our children Skyla and Bond absolutely adore her and so do we. Jo joined our family two years ago and became an integral part of our family. She tirelessly works to bring fun, imagination and education into our children’s lives. Due to Jo’s dedication, commitment and hard work my husband and I can go to work each day knowing that our children have the best possible care available and that the household will run as if we were home (well probably better if the truth be known). Jo is always upbeat and nothing is ever a problem, she ensures that our children get to all of their extracurricular activities, she hosts play dates and is just lovely to chat to. We are constantly being told by other parents, teachers and nannies how fantastic Jo is with our children. Jo we think that you are fabulous and that you deserve to be nanny of the month every month.
To say Pipi is a wonderful caregiver is true but she is also so much more. She is also our resident first class chef, seamstress, medic, meditator, loving friend and as if that weren’t enough according to our three children, Pipi knows everythign. Her meals are so tasty that children who once doused their dinners in lashings of tomato sauce, are enjoying a much wider variety of foods and the dreaded tomato sauce has all but been eradicated. She is so experienced that she diagnoses the littlies’ many and varied childhood ailments swiftly and doesn’t hesitate to take them to the doctor. She brings a calm presence into our sometimes chaotic home and is not in the least ruffled even by an invasion of the dreaded nits. The toys she has hand sewn for our little girls are works of art and tights with holes that might have once been thrown away are now expertly darned. Having Pipi in the house is the next best thing to being home with my littlies. She teaches them manners and kindness and encourages them each day. We have three delightful little children and they have flourished under Pipi’s care and attention. Kind regards- Lucy.
Nikki has been our daughter’s nanny for the last nine months. She is the first nanny we have employed and I was very nervous and apprehensive about the whole process. However, it has been a wonderful experience and Nikki quickly became a part of the family. I have never been concerned about Abigail while Nikki has been looking after her. She is a very capable and mature nanny who I am confident is focused on Abigail’s wellbeing at all times. She organises fantastic activities, crafts, outings, trips to the park, music and other adventures for Abigail. As parents we have loved watching the development of a confident, outgoing and happy toddler under Nikki’s care. Every morning Nikki walks through our door with a cheerful greeting and a positive start to the day. This energy and enthusiasm continues in everything she does and she is always willing to help in any way she can. She has a special bond with our little girl and we hope she remains with us for many years to come. Thanks, Jamie and Harry.

Lindsay became a part of the family from the very first day. I am blown away at her hard work, dedication, organisation skills and most of all the love she showers on my daughters. She is bringing up my daughter the way I would if I were a stay at home mum. As a mother, I feel very safe and comfortable leaving Rhea with Lindsay and I cannot give a higher praise than that. I sincerely hope that Lindsay will be a part of the family for a long time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to find a nanny?
Finding a nanny can take between 2 to 6 weeks depending on location, hours or working conditions. Our KiwiOz team will be able to advise you further with this.
How do you recruit your nannies, educators and babysitters?
Nannies and educators usually contact us because they have seen a position we have advertised that would be of interest, or because we were recommended to them. We meet all the candidates in person for an hour and run full background and reference checks. We require a minimum of two years experience and/or relevant qualification.
Why go through an agency?
Finding a nanny on the internet can be tempting, but it is time consuming and it can also be dangerous. Using KiwiOz Nannies means you benefit from the expertise of experienced recruiters, you get assistance with contracts and payroll, receive the monthly support from a qualified ECE teacher and get access to funded hours. More importantly, KiwiOz handpick the nannies to ensure lasting and happy placements are made for the family and the nanny.
What happens if things don't work out with our nanny?
If the family and the nanny both have a clear understanding of what the position entails and maintain good communication throughout the placement, problems are very rare. We will carry out regular checks throughout the length of the placement to ensure you are satisfied with your nanny or educator. If despite all of our efforts you were not satisfied with your KiwiOz nanny or educator within the first 3 months of employment, you will be entitled to a free replacement (subect to Terms and Conditions).
Our child is under the age of 3, can we still get access to Ministry of Education funding?
Yes you can. Every family with a child age 0-5 years old is entitled to up to 30 hours of Ministry of Education funding. This is not income tested.
How many profiles will you send us?
KiwiOz recruiters handpick the nannies they will send you. Pre-selecting candidates can be lengthy and if you don't know the candidate this can be difficult. This is why our KiwiOz team will carry out the pre-selection on your behalf. They will only send you profiles of nannies that have the relevant experience and skill set that you require, as well as the attitude you are looking for. We will typically send 4-5 profiles.
