What we offer:-
Working in NZ
We currently have a selection of NZ jobs available for full time, part time, temporary or permanent placements. Please view our jobs page for more details, this is updated throughout the day every day. To apply for any of these positions you need to be registered with KiwiOz Nannies (please visit the Nanny Registration page to start this process).
Working in London
You must have your visa and flights organised prior to registering with KiwiOz if you’re interested in working through our London office. If you can commit to 12 months or longer we can help you find live in, daily or part time work. Short term positions are less popular and will usually be snapped up by our permanent candidates. It is best to register in NZ before you leave to the UK so upon arrival you can meet with families immediately.
Working overseas
We have a number of exciting opportunities for people wanting to work overseas and have placed nannies in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Europe and more. If you are interested in working overseas you will normally need to commit to a year contract and will need to be eligible for the appropriate visa.
Qualifications and experience required
At KiwiOz we get a range of jobs including both nanny and mother's help roles. This means that we can assist most candidates no matter what level of experience they have however our primary focus is the sole charge, experienced nanny. Most of our roles are permanent so we look for candidates who can commit for a minimum of 12 months.
The most popular sole charge nannies are candidates who are qualified in childcare and/or have long term experience working as a nanny (at least 3 years if part time or 2 years if full time). We also find qualified teachers and nurses popular.
Shared charge nanny jobs often require a lower level of experience as one of the parents is at home to work with you. Good candidates for shared charge roles include the newly qualified nanny and people with childcare centre/ nursery or teacher aide experience. Often once you have worked as a shared charge nanny for a year you would then be considered for appropriate sole charge roles.
Mother's helps are accepted from all backgrounds, and will often have temporary experience in a childcare centre/ nursery or babysitting experience.

How do I register?
Register online
Register and send us your CV using the online form. We will be in touch to advise if your application has been successful and to set up a time for you to come in and interview with a KiwiOz consultant.
Your KiwiOz interview
At this interview we will discuss your experience and suitability. You will be required to complete a Police Check and other paperwork.
Meeting the parents
If we are happy with your interview we will start promoting you to registered parents and start arranging interviews. In most cases you will go to the family home to have an interview. If you are not in your destination country yet we can organise a phone interview or video Skype interview. Usually parents will select top applicants to second interview or trial.
Job Offers
If you are offered a job we can advise you on the suitability of the offer based on both your experience and the current market rates. We provide the parents with a sample contract which they can complete to outline your full responsibilities, pay and holiday allowances.
Trial periods
There is usually a trial period of up to 3 months (90 days) when either party can give limited notice should they feel the person/role is not right for them. After the trial period it is normal for either party to have 2-6 weeks notice to terminate the contract.
