If you are from the UK:

There are unlimited places available annually under the working holiday visa scheme for British citizens to live and work in NZ. You can choose to apply for either a 12 month or a 23 month working holiday visa. If you apply for a 23 month working holiday visa you will ned to provide full medical and xray certificates. If you apply for a 12 month working holiday visa and then later decide you want to spend longer in NZ you can apply for an extension to take you up to the full 23 months when you are in NZ. If you decide to do this you will need to provide medical and xray certificates at the time you apply for the extension. Whether you apply for a 12 month or 23 month working holiday visa you can only work for 12 months of your stay.

To be eligible you must:

• be living in the UK and have a British passport that's valid for at least three months after your planned departure from New Zealand
• be at least 18 and not more than 30 years old
• not bring children with you
• hold a return ticket, or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
• have a minimum of NZ$350 per month of stay available funds to meet your living costs while you're here
• be of good health and character
• satisfy NZ immigration that your main reason for coming to NZ is to holday, not work.
